Is This Your Secret Mission?

Did you see the video and my blog post about the amazing Susan Boyle from the show “Britain’s Got Talent.” If not, do yourself a 4 minute favor, just as millions have done, and go see it right now, then read the rest of this: http://budurl.com/SuanBoyle

That video is a great lesson in the ugliness of the pre-judgment of others. It’s also a wake-up call for how we are sometimes judged by others.

But the worst judges of us are often ourselves. Our withholds from displaying our talents and abilities are frequently because of our fears of rejection and inadequacy.

It’s always worth considering to ask yourself this important question, “Do I think I’m good enough?” Your answer must always be in the affirmative, even if it means starting anew right now.

We all exist with gifts to share. They cost nothing except our belief in self and a little time. But most of us squander these by not releasing them because we don’t believe enough that WE have such gifts to share. Others? Of course, we get inspiration from OTHERS. But us – inspire?

When you can walk up to that slightly visible line just this side of arrogance, and express yourself with conviction and the care that it may mean something to someone, then turn away without expecting anything in return, including compliments or fear of ridicule, you may very well be fulfilling your mission on earth – even if you don’t know what it is, except the belief that you can make a powerful difference.

If you haven’t yet come to know your real gifts, or you think you do know but have doubts, now is the time to explore. Now is the time to act. Whatever they may be, they are very real and they exist within you right now.

When you allow yourself to find your gifts you will have a sudden knowing beyond anything you can imagine. It may last only moments, but then settle in to be a “fact of you.” This not only greatly enhances your life but the lives of others, whether you come to know it or not. Your gifts are not just to you, but to the “worlds” around you.

As I train others to find their “Inner Wizards,” I’m never at a loss of amazement for their own self-discoveries. Sometimes the most difficult trials bring forth the most positive results. Things are bad? This is the time to dig deeper. The treasure you seek is looking back at you in the mirror.

Some of the greatest talents and inspirational beings in history doubted their worth. What made them valued contributors was that they stayed in action. They overcame the fear of rejection and ridicule. They allowed for their mistakes and moved forward again and again.

To be inspired is like finding gold. To be inspiring is like creating gold.

Be bold, be both! Embrace Your Inner Wizard.
